LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 9: Some armed men kidnapped the owner of a brick kiln and his servant from the Nar Sultan Mehmud locality, in the jurisdiction of the Serai Naurang police, on Thursday night.

Raza Gul Wazir, the brick kiln owner, and his servant Gul Zaman were asleep when about one dozen armed men forcibly entered the kiln premises. They took the two men away, but Mr Zaman was later freed.

The local people expressed concerns over the increasing cases of kidnapping for ransom in the area. They criticised police for the deteriorating law and order situation.—Correspondent
