ISLAMABAD, March 26: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has proposed new rules for maintaining proper books of account, documents and records of income derived from businesses or profession by all taxpayers.

Officials sources told Dawn on Tuesday that the CBR has sent the new rules to all stakeholders for seeking their comments, suggestions within 15 days of the issuance.

The proposals/suggestions or any objection received before the expiry of due date, after vetting will be made part and parcel of the new rules. These rules would come into effect from July 1, 2002, the sources said.
