KARACHI, March 26: Six ships carrying crude oil molasses, and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berth occupancy at the wharves fell to 33 per cent and 27 per cent at BOPs and dry wharves respectively owing to slow ship movement due to holidays.
Two ships, Hijaz to unload general cargo and Johar to discharge oil were berthed.
On sailing side Johar was sailed on Tuesday while Wan Hai-235 and Pretty River are expected to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity was slow as the total tonnage handled was fell to 50,000 tons of liquid cargo wholly of imports.
Following ships are due on Wednesday: Golden Gate and Shirvan, with 63,000 tons and 50,000 tons of crude oil respectively, W.S.Challenger, with 8,700 tons of soyabean oil, Maya, with 42,000 tons of molasses and MSC Corinna and Y, with containers.
