KARACHI, Nov 8: Eight ships carrying DAP fertilisers, containers and crude oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Hyundai Sprinter and Emirates Meru to unload and load containers, Pacific Arrow and Al-Hussani to load cement were berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships which departed included Morning Glory, Liberty Grace, Tawe, Mousavi, Augusta, APL Sokhna and Swat, while Hyundai Sprinter, Oel Strength, Pacific Arrow and Cosco Lian Yun Gang are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 71,360 tons comprising 32,604 tons of export tonnage including 2,904 tons of rice and 2,947 tons of cement and 38,756 tons of import cargo was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Jade Trader, Emirates Jumeirah, Tenth Ocean, Harmony, Eric G. Gibson with containers, Yang Hai with 38,900 tons of DAP fertiliser, Archangelos-R and Gulf Trader, oil tankers.The following are due on Saturday: Freja Pacific with petrol, Akaki with crude oil Oel Victory and Bunga Delima with containers.
