MULTAN, Nov 2: The three-day annual congregation of Dawat-i-Islami began at Sahra-i-Madina, Sher Shah, outside the city after Friday prayers.

According to DI, delegations from all over the world and Pakistan are attending the congregation. In all, 10 sessions (of speeches and special prayers) will take place during the gathering, spokesman Muhammad Niaz Qureshi said. Some 26,000 DI workers have taken up the security responsibility besides 4,000 personnel of the police force.—APP
