DADU, Nov 1: The secretary of Sindh Education Department on Thursday suspended Dadu’’s EDO of education on corruption charges, while the district nazim transferred four assistant district education officers on charges of negligence.

The secretary reportedly took the action after the regional director of Ombudsman in Dadu, Saeed Khan Mubejo, sent a report to the provincial ombudsman against EDO Prof Jalil Ahmed Akhund stating that he had issued 567 appointments orders against 273 vacant posts in grade 1 to 4.

Sources in the district education department said that the regional director had received 50 complaints against the EDO. The report accused the EDO of embezzling funds of School Management Committees.
