SHIKARPUR, Oct 31: A police constable was killed in an encounter with highwaymen who were robbing passengers of a coach coming from Karachi on the Kandhkot-Shikarpur road at a place under Khanpur police station early on Wednesday.

Police succeeded in foiling the robbery attempt.

Constable Basheer Ahmed Shah was killed on the spot when the bandits exchanges fire with the mobile police party.—BoC
