ISLAMABAD, March 23: The annual Zuljinah procession of Muharram 8 was taken out amid tight security in Sector G-9 here on Saturday.

Hundreds of mourners took part in the procession which started in the afternoon at Jamia Al-Murtaza in Sector G-9/4 and culminated at Imambargah Al Imam Al-Sadiq in Sector G-9/2. It was led by Tehrik Nifaz Fiqah-i-Jafaria chief Agha Syed Hamid Ali Moosavi.

Speakers on the occasion paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Karbala.

Alam and Tazia were also carried in the procession. Zangeerzani was conducted at Mohammadi Chowk. People had set up Sabeels along the way to provide drinks, milk and foodstuff to participants of the processions.— Our Reporter
