ISLAMABAD, March 22: The nation will celebrate Pakistan Day on Saturday in moderation this year in view of the holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram, but with a renewed pledge to make the country a strong and prosperous Islamic welfare state.

The day will dawn with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital.

People from different walks of life will pay homage to the father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and poet philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal.—APP
