Firm chosen for dope tests

WALTHAM (Massachusetts), Oct 24: Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has been chosen to supply instruments and software to test athletes for doping at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

The China Doping Control Centre, the organisation accredited to conduct testing at the games, selected the Waltham-based maker of scientific instruments and laboratory supplies, the company said on Tuesday. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.—AP
