TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 21:.Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao has said investigations were on into Karachi twin blasts and the allegations levelled by PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto against three government officials were being considered seriously but fixing the responsibility is a time-taking task.

He was talking to newsmen at Gojra after attending the valima ceremony of a ruling party MPA, Bilal Asghar Warraich, on Sunday afternoon.

Mr Sherpao said remains of the explosive-laden jacket and that of the alleged suicide bomber’s body were being analysed to solve the case and added that some other `solid’ evidences had also been found which could be helpful for investigators. He urged political parties to cooperate with the government for elimination of terrorism from society. He said Benazir Bhutto was the actual target of the attackers.

He said all political parties would be given an equal opportunity to publicise their agenda ahead of the upcoming elections to be held under an `impartial’ government.

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, former chief minister Manzoor Wattao, federal textile minister Mushtaq Cheema, district nazim Choudry Abdul Sattar, and Punjab Assembly Speaker Afzal Sahi also attended the ceremony.
