MULTAN, Oct 19: PPP leader Begum Syeda Abida Husain says that party chairperson Benazir Bhutto has told her that at least 247 people have lost their lives in twin bomb blasts in the Karachi rally.

The PPP leader said this while talking to reporters at her residence here on Friday.

She said Benazir Bhutto had never said that she would allow the NATO forces to attack on Pakistani soil to eliminate terrorists.

Ms Abida said the Thursday night attacks were not an attempt to kill Benazir Bhutto but intention behind these blasts was to frighten the people and political workers.

She said that she sustained a minor foot injury when the party workers were bringing her down from the container.
