Attack on PPP rally rapped

MIANWALI, Oct 19: Political, social and religious circles of Punjab have condemned suicide attacks on a procession led by Pakistan People’s Party Chairwoman Benazir Bhutto in Karachi in which about 140 people have been killed and hundreds injured.

Denouncing the attacks, Punjab Revenue Minister Gul Hameed Khan Rokhri said Ms Bhutto should have been careful while issuing statement against extremists and terrorists. He said extremists and terrorists were threatening Pakistan’s integrity.

Mianwali District Nazim Obaidullah Khan Shadikhel expressed grief over loss of lives in the attacks.

In Bahawalpur, PML-N MPA Malik Iqbal Channar condemned the suicide attack.

In Sheikhupura, PPP leader Rai Ijaz Ahmed Khan said the attackers targeted Ms Bhutto. He said those behind the attacks were the real enemies of Pakistan.
