LAHORE, Oct 13: The 22 PML-N workers arrested for staging a demonstration against the government on Friday were produced before the duty magistrate at the Lahore Cantonment Courts on Saturday and sent to judicial lockup for 14 days.

The workers were produced before a duty magistrate because the anti-terrorism court was closed on account of Eid holidays. The magistrate ordered lodging of six women in the Kot Lakhpat Jail and 16 men in the Camp Jail.

The Shahbaz Sharif Secretariat lawyers protested against the restrictions on meeting the arrested workers and providing them with food for ‘Sahr’ and ‘Iftaar’.
