GUJRANWALA, Oct 11: The Anti-Terrorism Court No 2 accepted the bail plea of Ijaz Ahmad, Sibtul Hasan’s manager, on Thursday. The court asked the accused to provide surety bonds worth Rs200,000. Wazirabad Sadar police arrested Ijaz for illegal banking and kidnap-for-ransom of a man. The court directed the police to submit the charge-sheet against Double Shah, Ibrar Hussain, Imtiaz Hussain, Shahid and Ijaz Ahmad on Friday (today).

GALLOWS: District and Sessions Judge Mazhar Hussain Minhas issued black warrants for two murder convicts and directed the jail authorities to carry out the execution on the jail premises on Oct 30. Convict Iqrar Hussain killed one Zafar Iqbal in Mandia Warraich (Cantonment). The district and sessions judge handed down him death sentence on May 4, 2000. Another convict Zakaullah killed Tanvir Irshad, of Ahmad Nager, in 1996. The additional district and sessions judge of Wazirabad sentenced him capital sentence. The Lahore High Court and the Supreme Court upheld the decision of lower court. The president rejected their appeals of clemency.—Correspondent
