MIRPURKHAS, Oct 11: A young man of Jhuddo town who had set himself on fire because as his family could not buy him new clothes for Eid, died at LMUH Hyderabad on Tuesday evening.

Mushtaq Kaimkhani 17, had 50 per cent burn injuries, after he sprinkled kerosene on himself and set himself on fire one week ago.

Mushtaq was referred to LMUH Hyderabad, where he succumbed to his injuries. His body was taken to Jhuddo for burial.

Meanwhile, the Satellite Town police have arrested a man, accused of sexually assaulting his daughter-in-law on Tuesday.

Momin Machhi lodged an FIR under Section 347 PPC with Satellite police against Anwar Machhi.

He said that about four years back, his daughter Sarhi was married to Dost Mohammed Machhi, the son of the accused, Anwar.

He said Dost Mohammed was working at Karachi and while his father back home used to criminally assault his daughter-in-law and issuing threats of dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone.

Police arrested the accused and sent the victim to Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas for medical check-up.
