PESHAWAR, Oct 10: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has urged its consumers to adopt precautionary measures to avoid electrocution and electric shocks for their own safety, especially during Eidul Fitr and on the eve of Eid.

The Pesco management also urged the people to avoid aerial firing on festivals as it not only results in loss of precious lives but some time it also damages HT & LT lines of power supply resulting in power breakdowns in various places.

About safety measures, Pesco authorities urged consumers to properly utilise their electrical appliances and replace all worn-out wires and not to touch electrical appliances/cables with wet hands.

Consumers have been directed to be careful and attentive while using electric water pumps and generators.

Women have been requested to avoid using metal wires for drying clothes and not to touch washing machines with wet hands.
