Kenyan tea company for joint venture

SIALKOT, March 20: Various Kenyan tea producing companies have shown interest in conducting joint venture with Pakistani companies to boost trade ties between the two countries.

This was stated by the Kenyan Embassy in Islamabad in a letter to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Pakistan on Wednesday.

‘We want Pakistani companies to conduct joint venture with the Kenyan companies,’ it said.

It stated Pakistan was one of the major tea importing countries and it was the time to strengthen trade ties.

The Kenyan Embassy also invited the Sialkot business community to explore the international markets of Kenya by exporting the best quality.

URS: The 752nd four-day annual urs of Saint Hazrat Imam Aliul Haq started at Darbar Imam Sahib here on Wednesday.

Floral wreaths were laid on the shrine and Ghusl was performed.

Hundreds of pilgrims swarmed the darbar to participate.

BAN: Sialkot district government has imposed ban on pillion riding on two-wheelers here on Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Muhammad Tahir told Dawn that the step had been taken to avert any untoward incident during Muharram.
