Four Islamabad police officials suspended

ISLAMABAD, March 19: In a belated move, the four police officers of the Islamabad Capital Territory have been removed from their posts for failing to control crime, officials said.

Rao Mohammad Iqbal Khan, additional inspector general of police, Islamabad (AIG) has been appointed senior superintendent of police, Islamabad with immediate effect.

Shortly after assuming charge of SSP Islamabad, Rao Mohammad Iqbal Khan went into a session with the chief commissioner, Islamabad, and discussed law and order and the appointment of the SHO, DSP rural circle.

Besides, Mohammad Zaheer, IGP, and Nasir Khan Durrani, senior superintendent of police have been asked to report to the Establishment Division; Chaudhry Liaquat, DSP rural circle, and Ahmed Iqbal, SHO secretariat police station have been suspended.
