UPPER DIR, Oct 2: Two people were killed in the Doon area, police and residents said.

Police said Mohammad Ismail and Shah Bahadar had gone for cutting trees in a nearby forest when some unidentified people attacked them. Their bodies were found dumped in the forest.

Police have registered a case and started investigation.

In another incident, eight people were wounded in a clash between two rival groups in Sadique Banda here.

They attacked each other with axes and exchanged fire.
