SANGHAR, March 19: The bodies of two kidnapped people were recovered from a sugarcane field, near Rahimabad, on Tuesday.

The victims were killed about 12 days back as their bodies were half-decomposed and had been heavily-infested with maggots. They were identified as Mohib and Qaim of the Laskani tribe.

Both had been kidnapped about a month ago from Naoabad allegedly by a gang of dacoits, who were led by Yousuf Mari and Mumtaz Mari. They wanted ransom for their release, and when they were not given any, the two were killed and their bodies thrown in the sugarcane field.

The SHO, Jhol, Tasawar Jat, said that since the bodies were rotting fast, the post-mortem was conducted on-the-spot after informing their relatives.
