SIALKOT, Sept 25: Seven cases have been instituted in the newly established district consumer court and four of them have been sent by the Narowal district coordination officer (DCO), a court official said on Tuesday.
In one of the cases, a plaintiff has accused a multinational beverage company of untidiness and adulteration, Sialkot District Consumer Court Registrar Mudassar Kaleem said. He said the plaintiff had also produced a bottle of the company in the court that had something like a toffee’s wrapper in its water. Lawyer Imran Suhail Tarar, who bought this bottle from a shop in his area, has filed the case.
The registrar said in another case the court rejected a reference sent by the Narowal DCO. He said the Sialkot DCO had not filed any reference in the court so far. — Correspondent
