Lawyer gets interim bail

ISLAMABAD, Sept 25: A team of Islamabad police, which arrested Khurshid Khan in Peshawar for spraying black colour on the face of Ahmed Raza Qasuri on the premises of the SC building returned home empty handed on Tuesday after a local court granted him bail.

Mr Khan, former assistant advocate general of the NWFP, was booked by Secretariat police on the complaint of Advocate Ahmed Raza Qasuri, representing government in the president’s dual offices case.

A team of Secretariat police station led by inspector Arshad went to Peshawar to arrest Mr Khan.

Mr Khan was kept in Yakatoot Police Station for his shifting to Islamabad, they added.

However, Mr Khan succeeded in getting bail from the Court of Sessions Judge of Peshawar. The court of law granted him interim bail for seven days after that he would join the investigation.

The police said he would himself come to Islamabad and join the investigation after the period of seven days.
