PESHAWAR, March 17: NWFP minister for education Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gilani has said that despite the fact that 80 per cent of the teachers of private sector education institutions are less paid than those of the public sector, but still the standard of private sector institutions is far better than the latter.
Speaking at the certificates distribution ceremony to the participants of office automation courses sponsored by PITE and ministry of science and technology at Brains Degree College, he said that it was due to this fact that the government was concentrating on the improvement of standard of education in the public sector institutions and schools.
He also pointed out that there were over 25,000 such schools in the province with over three million children and that a vast majority studies there. He said that for a real progress this vast majority must be included in the national development and this majority cannot lead the nation towards progress.
“It is because of these children that the whole of education department is and not because of the education department that these children are”, he reiterated.
