PESHAWAR, Sept 14: A well-equipped resource centre has been set up for government officials under the Essential Institutional Reforms Operationalisation Programme (EIROP), a joint venture of the NWFP government, the United Nations Development Programme and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

NWFP Additional Chief Secretary Ghulam Dastgir Akhtar inaugurated the centre here on Friday. Secretaries of various provincial departments attended the ceremony.

Mr Akhtar said that at the centre latest information and research could be accessed through the internet which might be utilised for planning purposes. Referring to the facilities available, the national project director of the EIROP, Mohammad Asghar, said the centre was equipped with latest equipment.
