QUETTA, Sept 5: An F-7 PG fighter jet crashed in the Belili area on the outskirts of Quetta on Wednesday, according to the Pakistan Air Force sources.

The fighter was on a routine training flight when it developed some technical fault and came down.

The pilot, Squadron Leader Hammad Butt, ejected safely but suffered injuries when he landed in the mountainous area and died. The PAF headquarters has ordered an inquiry into the incident. —Correspondent
