MITHI: Protest against police

MITHI, Sept 2: Relatives of a woman, who was allegedly murdered by her husband and his brother in Mansinge Ji Veri village, Nagarparkar taluka about two weeks ago, after declaring her Kari, have sought the assistance of director of human rights and sessions judge Tharparkar in the matter.

They alleged that the police were not taking interest in the case and demanded arrest of the people involved in the murder.

They said the police have refused to record the statement of complainants.

The hunger strikers further alleged that when Govri's murder took place, they went to Mansige Ji Veri village and found marks of axes on her body.

To destroy evidence, her husband immediately cremated her body.

They said that an influential wadera was threatening them of dire consequences, if they did not withdraw the case, the complainants alleged.
