THATTA, Sept 1: Thirteen people were injured, five critically, when a Karachi-bound van collided head-on with a truck near Thatta Sugar Mill on the Badin-Karachi road on Saturday.

Five of the 13 people who suffered serious wounds, van driver Zulfiqar Ali Khaskheli, Khuda Bux, Azizullah, Maryam and Azeema were moved to Karachi while the rest Gul Hassan, Sher Ali, Niaz, Gul Mohammad, Ms Nasima, Ms Husna, Ms Khalida and Ms Husni were moved to Makli hospital.

The truck driver managed to escape.
