LAHORE, Aug 31: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has extended the date for the receipt of applications for tickets in the next elections in Punjab from Sept 1 to Sept 5.

The party’s Punjab organising committee will meet for two days from Saturday to take the stock of political situation. Certain important MQM leaders are also expected to attend the meeting.
