LAHORE, March 13: The Lahore High Court Justice Ijaz  Chaudhary issued a stay order against the holding of elections of the Punjab Football Association (PFA) which were to be held on Thursday.

Justice Chaudhary on a writ petition filed by lawyer Manzoor Hussain Butt on behalf of his client  Wednesday ordered the attorney general Lahore High Court Saeed-uz-Zafar to ask para wise comment from the Pakistan Sports Board and appear for the next hearing on March 21.

The  petitioner pointed out that Punjab’s elections are being held without holding the elections at the tehsil/town level which is against the new sports policy announced by the federal sports ministry.
