SWABI, Aug 24: About 11,528 applicants who deposited Rs461.122 million for plots in Shah Mansoor township scheme have expressed concern over delay in holding of draw.

The Swabi Development Authority had started development of 300 acres of land in the area about seven kilometres from the town and created 3,200 residential plots of different sizes.

The scheme was advertised in May that a limited number of 10-marla plots had been created. The price of each plot was fixed Rs160,000.

Each applicant deposited Rs40,000 in advance along with a non-refundable amount of Rs1,500 for form.

Sources said that the SDA had earned Rs2.850 million from the sale of forms.

“We have received several calls about the draw, but we are not yet in position to give the exact date because bank officials had committed mistakes in collection of forms,” said an SDA official.
