Two bandits killed in encounter

GUJRANWALA, Aug 21: Two dacoits were killed in a police encounter while their third accomplice managed to escape in Ghakkar Town on Tuesday.

Reports said Aziz Jehan, brother of Bharoki Cheema union council nazim Sahibzada Jehanzaib, was present at his outhouse at Wainwali village when three robbers riding a motorcycle came there and took away cash and a mobile phone from him at gunpoint.

On receiving information, a police team chased the outlaws. On seeing police, they opened fire. During a crossfire, two bandits were killed while their third accomplice fled. These dacoits had looted several passers-by at Kaka Kola village (Wazirabad) before robbery at the outhouse of the nazim’s brother.

EXAM SCHEDULE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the schedule for FA/FSc supplementary examination 2007 here on Tuesday.

The last date for submission of admission forms with single fee is Sept 5, with double fee 12th and triple fee Sept 19.

Controller (examinations) Prof Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Awan said the exam would commence from Oct 25.
