MANDI BAHAUDDIN, Aug 17: A power thief allegedly kidnapped Wapda officials and confined them in his house in Ladhar Kalan on Friday. Wapda officials, led by Phalia Sub-Division Officer Akhtar Abbas, raided the village to check power pilferage where Shahid Imran took them on gunpoint and detained them in a room.

Later, locals secured Wapda men’s release while Imran fled.

The police are investigating.
