MITHI, Aug 14: As the second monsoon rain has turned the sandy and hilly area of Thar into a lush green region, a large number of visitors and tourists have started arriving here to see its natural beauty and historic places.

A considerable number of men, women and children, who reached here on Tuesday on coasters, pickups, buses and motorcycles, were seen strolling on Gadhi, a dune near the town. Some of them were seen buying traditional items of Thari handicrafts at the local market.

Some of the visitors were seen going direct to Nagarparkar via Islamkot to visit Gori temple, Marui-jo-Khooh near Bhalwa village, Bodesar mosque and temple, Karoonjhar hills and other places after journeying on metalled road up to Nagarparkar.
