UPPER DIR, Aug 13: Three people were killed and seven others seriously wounded in two separate incidents in Upper Dir on Monday. Police officials said two members of a family were killed and four wounded when their Usherai-bound car plunged into River Kohistan near Chukiatan, about 8km south of Dir. The injured were taken to the district headquarters hospital Dir Upper. The deceased were identified as Gul Paroon and Zubair Shah of Galkor-Usherai.

In another incident, a 10-year-old girl was killed and her sister wounded in Patrak when flash floods triggered by torrential rains hit their house.
