Girls outdo boys in BA/BSc exams

MULTAN, Aug 10: Girls outshone boys as they grabbed eight of the top 10 positions in BA/BSc examinations 2007 announced by the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) here on Friday.

Out of 43,619 candidates appeared in the examination, 15,574 have been declared successful, showing a pass percentage of 35.70.

In the BSc examination, Ambreen Sadaf (Roll No 35456) of Government College for Women, Multan, clinched the first position with 699 marks. Shahzad Ali (36524) of Government College, Sahiwal and Sumaira Kanwal (35433) of Government College for Women, Multan, secured second and third positions with 666 and 662 marks, respectively.

In the BA examination, Nadia Habeeb (3655) of Government College for Women, Muzaffargarh, secured first position with 647 marks while Sadia Nausheen (4132) of Government College for Women, Rajanpur, got second position with 640 marks.

The third position was shared by Summera Latif (2683) of Government College for Women, Kot Addu, and Barirah Nazir (7054) of Government College for Women, Multan, with 638 marks each.
