ISLAMABAD, Aug 10: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to replace its ageing fleet of Boeing 737s with leased Airbus A320-200 aircraft. Sources said that PIA’s board of directors had approved leasing of seven new A320-300 aircraft, which would be delivered to the carrier in 2009.

The induction would cut down the average age of PIA’s fleet to 10 years.
