KARACHI, Aug 10: Two women found dead in mysterious circumstances in their beauty parlour apparently died of suffocation by poisonous fumes released by a generator, police say.
Parlour-owner Sadaf, who was 28 years old, and her 23-year-old associate Gul Nar, were found dead in their DHA shop in the late hours of Thursday night.
Quoting the initial medico-legal opinion, SP Clifton Azad Khan told Dawn that neither body bore the marks of any injury that could be described as a probable cause of death. He said that the deaths were discovered when Sadaf did not respond to her brother Salman’s telephone calls. He and another brother went to the shop, where gas fumes spilled out as soon as the door was opened and the generator was still running, Salman told the police.
