BADIN, Aug 8: Posts of Deputy District Officers (DDOs) Revenue in five talukas are lying vacant due to which people are facing difficulties in resolution of their problems from relevant departments working under the district government.

However, one DDO had been assigned to look after three talukas with two still waiting for some relief as work was being been adversely affected.

People were facing problems in mutation of their land khatas and mortages and for release entries, told former chairman, Choudhry Zafar Ali to Dawn.

He said as per orders of the Sindh High Court, mutation entries in the record of rights were compulsorily verified by the DDO revenue of concerned taluka and flow of work forcing mukhtiarkars to affect entries was violation of the SHC orders, he said.

Meanwhile, absence of the DDO revenue was affecting disposal of cases in appellate court.

Political influence was said to be behind the lying of vacant DDO posts as the only one working had recently been transferred with the same backing.

People had demanded of the Sindh government to immediately fill all posts of the DDOs to provide relief to people.
