TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug 8: The Gojra police on Wednesday claimed to have killed two dacoits in an encounter near Pucca Anna, some 40 kilometres from here. Police said a patrol team, led by ASI Ibrar Hussain, spotted three suspects on a bicycle at Chak 91-JB. As policemen signalled them to stop, the accused opened fire on them which was returned.

Consequently, the two dacoits died on the spot while their third accomplice managed to escape.

A source said the police recovered only Rs100 and Rs60 from the pockets of the two killed dacoits. — Correspondent
