HYDERABAD, Aug 8: Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Sultan Shaikh has drawn the attention of the Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad towards an ongoing controversy between the chief minister and the chairman Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) and claimed that the work of SPSC has been completely paralysed.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that the public service commission has been dysfunctional for the last two years as a result of which the appointment of officers has been affecting.

He claimed that due to the personal differences between the chief minister and the chairman, the entire province was suffering.

He demanded of the governor to personally intervene into the matter and reactivate the SPSC.

Hunger strike deferred

The spokesman of the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association, professor Taj Joyo, has said that the planned hunger strike by the college teachers has been deferred in Hyderabad, Sukkur and Larkana in the interest of students because the colleges are being reopening after summer vacations.
