SAHIWAL, Aug 7: The house of a doctor in Farid Town was set ablaze by unknown people after looting it on Monday night. Dr Muhammad Tayyab and his wife had taken their son Habib Ahmed, 17, a cancer patient, to Lahore. During their absence from the house, the bandits broke the locks and before leaving, they set the house ablze.

Local fire brigade extinguished the fire at 3am on Tuesday after four hours. The fire caused a considerable damage.

Farid town police are investigating.
