LAHORE, Aug 7: A 35-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by unidentified people over cattle sale in Badami Bagh on early Tuesday. Police said Zahid, son of Munir Ahmad of Siddiqia Colony, was dealing in cattle. They suspected Zahid had an old enmity with someone about whom his family was tight-lipped.

On Tuesday, when Zahid left his house at around 5am for his pen, some unidentified people opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot.

On hearing bullet shots, area residents gathered on the scene and informed police. The police set the body for autopsy and registered a case. —Staff Reporter
