PESHAWAR, Aug 2: A man was killed and another injured after an explosion in a truck in a scarp yard here on Thursday. According to police, the explosion took place when some labourers were emptying a truck of scrap in the Hazarkhwani locality near the Ring Road in the limits of the Yakka Toot police station.

Identity of the deceased could not be ascertained while the injured was identified as Bakht Shireen. He was taken to the Lady Reading Hospital.

Police have sealed off the warehouse and arrested its owner, Shireen Agha, an Afghan refugee for interrogation.

TWO KILLED: Two men, both Afghans, were killed in different incidents. They included Abdur Rasheed, who was murdered by an unidentified assailants on Thursday in the jurisdiction of Paharipura police station.

Meanwhile, Ihsanullah was killed in Budhoo Samar Bagh area.

Paharipura police are investigating the two murder cases.
