LAHORE, July 29: A man was shot dead allegedly by his father, brother and two nephews over a domestic issue in Misri Shah on Sunday, police say.

Misri Shah station house officer Mudassirullah Khan told Dawn that Muhammad Akram, 60, was a retired employee of Pakistan Railways and living with his family in a double-storey house of his father Muhammad Shafee at Tezab Ahata.

Shafee, who was living with his elder son Muhammad Aslam in the upper portion, constructed a toilet which stank out Akram’s portion.

Akram asked his brother and father to demolish the toilet but they refused.

On Sunday, both sides exchanged hot words over the issue and one of the accused opened fire on Akram, killing him instantly.

Neighbours held the accused and handed them over to the police.

The body was shifted to morgue for autopsy and a case was registered against the four accused on the complaint of Bashiran Bibi, Akram’s wife. —Staff Reporter
