Officials of the Bhana Manri Police station said that a house collapsed in Amin Colony on the Kohat road due to heavy rain as a result four sisters buried under the debris, while three others sustained injuries. The bodies were shifted to Afghanistan on Saturday.
Heavy rains had lashed Peshawar and its adjoining areas on Friday night. Local Met office said that 48 millimetres rain was recorded and said more rain is expected in next 24 hours.
In Chen Agha locality of the city, nine houses caved in due to rain in which seven people were wounded. Three people were wounded in the Nothia area of the city. The wounded were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital.
The provincial flood warning centre said that the water level had risen in the River Kabul and the River Swat and its tributaries due to widespread rains in upper parts of the NWFP.
