DERA GHAZI KHAN, July 18: Most of the closed-circuit cameras, which the district police had installed on various places in the city to keep an eye on saboteurs, are not in order.

Reports said that the district police had installed cameras after successive sabotage activities which have been occurring in Dera Ghazi Khan district since 2005.

At least four people have lost their lives and dozens of others injured in 22 acts of terrorism in Dera during the period. Law-breakers also blew up rail tracks, gas and crude oil pipelines.

The two explosions that happened in Cattle Market and Saddar Bazaar in Dera Ghazi Khan had claimed two lives.

Among a dozen close-circuit cameras, only two are in operation that have been installed on offices of the Dera range DIG and the DPO.
