Fraud case against nazim ordered

SAHIWAL, July 9: The Board of Revenue (BoR), Punjab, has directed the local revenue officer to get registered a case against the union council-51 nazim and his six accomplices for fraudulently transferring two kanals of state land for establishing a CNG filling station near Chak 135/9-L.

The BoR also asked district revenue officer Chaudhry Usman to initiate proceedings against the patwari, the qanungo and the tehsildar for preparing a bogus transfer deed (fard) of the state land.

Nazim Asad Khan, his accomplices Muhammad Ali, Sahir Ali, Muhammad Arif Khan, Ghulam Abbas, Jehangir and Zawar Hussain managed to get the NOC for the installation of the CNG filling station on the basis of bogus transfer deed.

They also started construction, but a BoR team detected the fraud during the checking of the revenue record.
