Haris seek release of bonded labourers

HYDERABAD, July 8: A large number of Haris, including women, under the banner of Hari Mazdoor Tanzeem and Green Rural Development Organisation staged a demonstration outside the press club on Sunday for the recovery of 18 family members of Veersi Kolhi and Chatro Kolhi, who are being held in bondage allegedly by the Mari zamindars of Sanghar districts.

Noted leftist leader, Comrade Jam Saqi, Dr Haider, Nanji Bheel, Amb Bheel, Mannu Bheel and others led the demonstration.

Speaking on the occasion, they alleged that 18 family members of Chatro Kolhi and Veersi Kolhi were in captivity in private jails of Maris of Sanghar district.

They demanded that the Sanghar administration recover families of Chatro and Veersi.
