WIESBADEN, June 28: German inflation slowed fractionally to 1.8pc in June from 1.9 per cent the previous month due to falling prices for seasonal foodstuffs, preliminary consumer price data showed on Thursday.

The German consumer price index rose by 0.1 per cent in June from the figure for May and was 1.8 per cent higher than it had been in June 2006, the federal statistics office, Destatis, said in a statement.—AFP
